Temperatures have dropped so much over these past two weekends. Fall is officially here! Since the weather is getting colder, I’ve started planning more indoor activities for my two-and-a-half-year-old son.
Recently, he’s been watching YouTube videos on how to make birthday cakes out of Play-Doh. That’s when the idea came to me: why don’t I recreate the process for him using real ingredients, and teach him how to bake!

I soon came across this how-to video on baking rose-shaped apple desserts.
The recipe is so simple and requires few ingredients, most of which you probably already have in your kitchen.
That’s why this is the perfect treat to make with your toddler or a beginner baker, and the best part is that the end result is so pretty.
He was so proud to make these apple desserts in the end (and eat them, too!).
